By now, Kevin Hart is synonymous with good comedy, so it’s not surprising that he’s developing a comedy for Showtime. However, his partner is a little unexpected.
Deadline reports that Hart and rapper T.I. are developing a music comedy for Showtime called The Studio.
The series, written by Aeysha Carr, follows the day-to-day antics of the employees at a music recording studio.
Hart and T.I. will executive produce as well as make guest appearances on the show. And, while it’s a tiny bit surprising that the two would team up for the project, both have a music background.
We all know that T.I. Is one of the biggest rappers in the game, but Hart also dabbled in hip hop as his alter ego, Chocolate Droppa. In 2016 he released Kevin Hart: What Now? (The Mixtape Presents Chocolate Droppa), which included “Baller Alert” with Migos & T.I.
T.I. is also no stranger to film and television having starred in ATL, Entourage, House of Lies, and Get Hard.
