R&B singer Keyshia Cole is officially participating in a Verzuz battle! She announced that she has an upcoming match on Instagram live on December 2.
“Y’all ready for this Verzuz battle?,” she teased in the live video. She also sang a few of her classic hits. Cole did not announce who she’ll be up against.
The “I Should Have Cheated” singer has an impressive catalogue that contains fan favorites like “(I Just Want It) To Be Over,” “Shoulda Let You Go,” “Heaven Sent” and “I Remember.”
Her 2005 song “Love” rose to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #13. One of her next appearances, “(When You Gonna) Give It Up To Me” with Sean Paul, went all the way to the #3 spot and is her highest-charting single to date. Additionally, Cole’s tracks with Diddy (“Last Night”) and Missy Elliott and Lil’ Kim (“Let It Go”) hit the top 10 as well.
Cole has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including Nicki Minaj, Anthony Hamilton and Monica. Her first three albums, The Way It Is, Just Like You and A Different Me, have all been certified platinum in the United States, selling over one million copies a piece. Cole has been heralded as one of the queens of R&B for her success, transparency and sheer vocal talent.
