Christian Combs, aka King Combs, is paying homage to The Notorious B.I.G. with his new video for “Love You Better.”
The video is a nod to Biggie’s “Once More Chance” and sees King partying with DJ Khaled and Chris Brown. Directed by Andrew Sandler, the video also includes cameos from Justin Combs and NBA star Jaylen Brown.
King has been on a roll as he makes a name for himself within the music industry. Earlier this year, he released 90’s Baby, a nostalgic mixtape that blended east and west coast hip-hop. Dad Diddy shared the artwork for the mixtape along with the caption, “My son @KingCombs just dropped his first mixtape. I’m so proud of him!!! #90sBaby let’s goooooo!”
In February, Billboard spoke to King about his music with the artist telling the publication that he’s inspired by the 90s and Bad Boy era, “All of the Bad Boy artists were an influence to me growing up. I would say the biggest influence was actually Biggie. When I’m in the studio, I would try to just do a song like them, but I would still do my own thing on it. Like I gotta make sure that I’m gonna be able to hold my own on any track. And Biggie to me is the greatest of all-time.”
