Black Panther is a bona fide hit. Since its release over President’s Day weekend, the film has broken box office records and earned praise from by critics and fans, who have helped the film earn more than $900 million.
While the movie is packed full of memorable moments and superstars like Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, and Chadwick Boseman, one breakout performance has captured the nation.
Newcomer Winston Duke’s portrayal of M’Baku, leader of the Jabari Tribe in Black Panther, was both fierce and hilarious. Duke’s commanding 6-foot-5 frame and rugged good looks also caused many to dub him “M’Baeku” and “Mountain bae.”
One little boy named Jordan was equally mesmerized by Duke’s performance and took to Instagram to recreate one of his famous scenes from the film.
Jordan’s video has officially gone viral, clocking more than 11,000 views on Instagram alone. It even caught Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan’s eye, and the actor left a few encouraging words on Instagram.
“Lil man you nailed it,” the actor wrote on the social network. We definitely agree!
