Another day, another Hollywood reboot.
The Matrix is reportedly the next film set to be remade, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and Warner Bros. is apparently eyeing Creed star Michael B. Jordan.
The original 1999 film stars Keanu Reeves as Neo, a computer hacker who gets dragged into a war against a race of machines, who actually control reality.
Will Smith was originally offered the role of Neo, later admitting he turned it down because he felt he wasn’t mature enough as an actor.

The Wachowski siblings, who wrote and directed the film and its sequels, are not attached to the reboot and there’s been no word on whether or not they will be.
Film fans were quick to share their thoughts on a possible reboot, many rolling their eyes at the thought of Warner Bros. reviving the movie.
Zak Penn is in talks to write a treatment for the film and there’s no word yet on what the reboot will be about, but it seems Warner Bros. is hoping to mine The Matrix trilogy for new ideas.
Honestly, if Michael B. Jordan is attached, we’ll be sure to watch. How ’bout you?
