After what she’s described as a “rough ass” year, Houston’s Megan Thee Stallion is here with good news—the announcement of her debut album. It’s titled Good News, and it’s sure to be a breath of fresh air.
“Hotties, I first want to say thank you for riding with me, growing with me, and staying down with me since my first mixtape Rich Ratchet!, the “Savage” rapper wrote on Instagram. “Through this rough ass year we’ve all been having I felt like we could all use a lil bit of good news. So with that being said MY OFFICIAL ALBUM ‘GOOD NEWS’ IS DROPPING NOVEMBER 20TH.” She then shared that it would be available for pre-order on November 12.
Thus far, Megan has shared a slew of mixtapes/EPs, including Tina Snow, Fever and 2020’s Suga. Each explored a facet of her personality as both a woman and a performer and solidified her as one of the most exciting musical acts to emerge in the past few years. She’s also worked some of the music industry’s biggest presences—such as Beyoncé, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. It’s safe to say that Megan’s on top of her game, even in the midst of a time that brought about label issues, harsh responses to her allegations of violence at the hands of a man and halted touring. Thee Stallion simply can’t be stopped.
It is confirmed that Good News will feature the singles, “Don’t Stop,” “Girls in the Hood,” and the “Savage” remix.
