There’s another movie on the horizon that has us looking forward to a Michael B. Jordan appearance.
The 30-year-old is set to star in HBO’s adaptation of “Fahrenheit 451,” derived from the 1953 Ray Bradbury classic.
Jordan —in all his fineness— will play a conflicted fireman in the dystopian film where books are outlawed and subsequently burned. According to Shadow and Act, Michael Shannon is also attached, playing what the network calls a key supporting role in the project.
Bradbury’s most regarded work was adapted into a film in 1966, has been made into plays, graphic novels and inspired countless other works— including Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11 documentary. Jordan will executive produce the project through his company, Outlier Productions.

In addition to the HBO project, Jordan is set to star in Marvel’s Black Panther debuting Feb 2018.
The highly-anticipated film about a Black superhero king, will star Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Sterling K. Brown and Phylicia Rashad.
