Insecure creator Issa Rae has a new series headed to HBO Max.
The network announced a slew of new projects for its upcoming streaming service, including Rap Sh*t, a series from Rae that follows a female rap group from outside of Miami as they try to make it in the music industry.
Rae’s latest project is one of many from the streaming service that features talented women at the helm. Both Mindy Kaling and Elizabeth Banks also have new shows heading to HBO Max.
Sarah Aubrey, head of original content for HBO Max, said in a statement, “Elizabeth Banks, Issa Rae and Mindy Kaling are three of the most gifted women in our industry, and are now bringing their impressive, original projects to HBO Max.”
The streaming service will debut in spring 2020 with 10,000 hours of curated premium content.
