TNT is shaking things up with a new late-night series featuring Claws star Niecy Nash.
Variety reports that the network has ordered a late-night pilot from Nash, who will host and executive produce the show, currently titled Naked with Niecy Nash. The series will see Nash offering love, relationship, romance, and sex advice to everyday people.
If Nake with Niecy Nash is picked up by TNT, it will become the first late-night series in TNT’s history and Nash would be one of two female late-night hosts on television. Samantha Bee, who currently hosts Full Frontal on TBS, is the other.
Nash expressed her happiness about the possibility of becoming a late-night host in a statement.
“I’m so excited to add my voice to the late-night landscape,” she said. “Love is the thing we were created for but it’s also the place we struggle the most…until now! This is going to be a fun and sexy ride!”
Nash currently plays Desna Simms on TNT’s Claws, a comedy-drama series that follows a group of women running a nail salon an dabbling in crime. Claws was renewed for a third season in July.
