Sean “Diddy” Combs and his family celebrated their first Christmas without Kim Porter this year.The mother, model, and entrepreneur passed away suddenly after suffering from cardiac arrest on November 15. She was only 47.
Still, Diddy and his twin daughters that he shared with Porter, D’Lila Star and Jessie James, had a festive holiday with the mogul sharing a photo that the three took in front of their Christmas tree. “MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS,” he wrote in the caption on Christmas Day.
The holiday season was also a time when the twins celebrated their first birthday without their mother. Diddy posted a video of the two dancing to Trap Beckham’s “Birthday Chick” in matching red holiday sweaters to fete their Dec. 21 birthday.
And in true Diddy fashion, the sweaters were the now 12-year-old twin’s first entrepreneurial effort. It featured a picture of Diddy with the words, “Mo Money, Mo Presents,” a nod to the 1997 single, “Mo Money Mo Problems,” he produced for Notorious B.I.G.
Diddy has publicly admitted that coping with the loss of his former partner, close friend, and co-parent has been difficult for him during the last two months. “I do feel like giving up sometimes but I’m NOT!!!! Keep banging,” he wrote.
At Porter’s fittingly opulent homegoing services last month, Diddy expressed his commitment to supporting his children in the wake of the tragedy. The music mogul is also a father to Porter’s son with Al B. Sure!, Quincy Brown; along with Justin, whom he fathered with Misa Hylton Brim; Chance, whom he fathered with Sarah Chapman; and his three children with Porter, Christian and the twins.“I just want to say to my kids — Justin, Christian, D’Lila, Jessie, Chance and the other man in the house, Quincy — your mother instilled in me this, and I pledge in front of everybody right now that I will always be there for you,” he said from the podium.
