Looks like we’re ending the week with some incredible projects.
Earlier this week, Canadian producer Kaytranada announced his sophomore album, BUBBA, which arrived Friday. The album includes collaborations with VanJess, Pharrell Williams, SiR, Tinahse, and more. It also includes previously released single “10%,” featuring Kali Uchis.
His new album is just one of many releases that caught our attention this week.
Stormzy – Heavy Is the Head
We’ve been waiting patiently for the follow-up to Stormzy’s 2017 album Gang Signs & Prayer and it’s finally arrived.
Heavy Is the Head is the British rap sensation’s second studio album, featuring artists like Burna Boy, H.E.R., and Tiana Major9.
The album comes after the rapper announced a world tour to support the project, which will kick off in Brussels, Belgium in February.
Snoh Aalegra – “Whoa”
Iranian-Swedish rising star Snoh Aalegra delivers once again, this time tapping Michael B. Jordan to star alongside her in the new video for “Whoa.”
“Whoa” is a stunning portrait of love that will soften even the hardest hearts.
Ms Banks – The Coldest Winter Ever, Pt. 2
UK rapper Ms Banks is keeping things icy this winter with her latest mixtape, The Coldest Winter Ever, Pt. 2, the follow-up to 2018’s The Coldest Winter Ever.
The mixtape includes her infectious singles “Bad B Bop” and “Hood B*tch” and sees the rapper continuing to serve up hits.
Maxo – “Strongside”
West coast rapper Maxo dropped the video for his single “Strongside” on Friday, a meditative, black-and-white visual directed by Devlin Claro-Resetar.
“Strongside” appears on the rapper’s debut album Lil Big Man, which dropped earlier this year and includes strong opener “Time” and “In My Penny’s.”
Kaash Paige – “64”
Texas singer-songwriter Kaash Paige is on the rise and the video for her single “64” is proof that the 18-year-old can hold her own.
The single, from her debut EP Parked Car Convos, celebrates the simplicity of just cruising around, hanging out with friends, and impressing girls.
