Queen Latifah stole the show in Disney’s The Little Mermaid live musical event—and we’re not surprised.
The Oscar-nominated actress lit up our TV screens last night when she took on the role of Ursula in a live special that celebrated the 30th anniversary of the iconic Disney animated film.
She starred in the two-hour live musical event alongside 18-year-old ingenue Auli’i Cravalho (Ariel), rapper Shaggy (Sebastian) and John Stamos (Chef Louis).
But it was Latifah, in her velvet tentacles, white hair and gold shell necklace, and her big voice that kept us watching—especially her rendition of “Poor Unfortunate Souls.”
And fans agreed.
Did you catch The Little Mermaid?
