It looks like we’re finally about to see what happened when Rihanna and Donald Glover spent part of their summers in Cuba.
The pop star turned beauty mogul turned lingerie designer and Glover were seen together filming a secret project in Havana last August.
Later it was revealed that the covert meet up was really for a film called Guava Island. Letita Wright and Nonso Anozie are also reportedly starring in the film, which is being directed by Hiro Murai.
No details regarding the film have been released since the August sightings until last Friday when Spotify streamed an advertisement promoting the project.
The 30-second ad contains music from Gambino with a soothing acoustic melody. Towards the end, he can be heard saying the words: “See you at the show, everyone.”
Spotify’s Rap Caviar playlist appears when you click on the ad. Fans believe this is a major hint that Guava Island could possibly be a visual album.
Artwork for the promotion features Matisse-style floral arrangements and displays the date April 13–the night that Glover’s first Coachella set will be played.
It looks like there’s something to look forward to that weekend even if you skipped out on playing in the desert.
