Issa Rae’s famous statement from last year’s Emmy’s, “I’m rooting for everybody black,” is the perfect example of what it means when something is FUBU.
The statement echoes plenty of conversations we’ve had at the dinner table or kicking it in our living rooms whenever #BlackExcellence is on display, especially in competitive situations.
And, as the 2018 awards season kicks off with Sunday’s Golden Globes, we’re ready to root for our faves once again. Here’s what you should be looking out for on Sunday.
