Serena Williams will sit down with Common in an upcoming interview set to air this Sunday on ESPN.
Titled The Undefeated In-Depth: Serena with Common, the tennis champ and Grammy Award-winning rapper will discuss a number of topics including Williams’ career as one of the world’s greatest athletes, the challenge of being an African American at the top of her sport and coming to terms with her body, ESPN says.

Common will also provide some interesting insight, seeing that he and Williams once dated.
Set to air at 9pm ET on Sunday, the hour-long program taped in Brooklyn, New York, and William’s hometown of Compton, Calif.
“Serena with Common” is the third in a series of multimedia content initiatives by The Undefeated featuring up-close and personal conversations between accomplished African Americans who have been recognized as leaders in their fields.
“Serena Williams has 22 Grand Slam titles, tying her with Steffi Graff as winner of the most titles in the Open Era,” ESPN says, adding that Common is an Oscar and Grammy award winning actor and musician that just released his eleventh studio album, “Black America Again”.
