Solange took the stage on Saturday night for SNL and gave an ethereal performance of “Cranes In The Sky” and “Don’t Touch My Hairβ (accompanied by Sampha) from her hit album A Seat At The Table.
It was a night of firsts for the singer: the first time performing a track from her album live on television and her first appearance on the weekly comedy sketch show.
Fans tuning into the performance were left speechless with one tweeting, “Solange is being her best black self tonight. On #SNL. Love it. #solangeonsnl.”

Solange is legit on #SNL telling America to not touch our hair. She's doing the Lord's work.
