Dionne Farris’ hit might have been called “Hopeless” but hearing the beautiful song as the soundtrack to Nina and Darius’ love story gave us so much hope. The moment Nina rides comfortably and happily on the back of Darius’ bike the morning after their epic first date will forever be etched in our minds.
Dancing with your girls to “Creep” in the living room will forever be ladies night GOALS!
“Tonight (Best You Ever Had)” is a song that instantly reminds us of the rooftop kiss and late night sheet shaking shared between Taraji P. Henson and Michael Ealy’s characters in Think Like A Man.
Boomerang gave us the slap heard around the theater when Halle Berry’s hand connected with Eddie Murphy’s cheek. The movie also gave us “Love Shoulda Brought You Home Last Night” from Toni Braxton which is a forever jam for a woman scorned.
The hunky fellas in The Best Man Holiday truly blessed us all when they did their own sexy dance rendition of New Edition’s “Can You Stand The Rain” routine, complete with outfits. The hats, the spin, the homage to The Temptations–all classics!
It was a game of H.O.R.S.E we never want to play again. It was heartbreaking to watch Monica play Quincy for his heart, and lose. Thankfully we had the musical genius of Me’Shell Ndegéocello giving us “Fool Of Me” at the same time to help us cope. Those lyrics will haunt you!

When we hear “Candy” by Cameo there is only thing that comes to mind–the electric slide in The Best Man. No Black wedding is complete without a two step to this cut.
Thank you Whitney Houston and CeCe Winans for giving us the girlfriends anthem that is “Count on Me.” This song and the New Years Eve scene in Waiting to Exhale makes you want to call your homegirls up just because every time.
