After a four-year break from the airwaves, BET’s Sunday Best is coming back to life. The popular gospel singing competition series is set to return to its airwaves this summer with two new judges.
Award winning gospel vocalists Erica Campbell and Jonathan McReynolds will join powerhouse Kelly Price as judges.
Nine-time Grammy Award-winning superstar Kirk Franklin will return for what the network is referring to as “a new and improved Season 9.”
Produced by Jesse Collins, Sunday Best will feature new staging and exciting themed challenges to make the season the toughest one yet, according to the network.
For the new season, contestants were able to submit auditions online before live auditions take place in Dallas, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Detroit.
Past winners of Sunday Best include Grammy Award winner Leandria Johnson and Stellar Award winner Tasha Page-Lockhart.
Sunday Best will return June 30.
