Have you noticed Taraji P. Henson’s glow?
The actress has a lot to be happy about. In addition to being the leading lady on FOX’s hit drama Empire, and producing and starring in her upcoming film Proud Mary, Henson is enjoying her romance with Super Bowl winning former NFL star Kelvin Hayden too.
In an unusually candid moment, the actress confirmed their relationship on a special episode of ESSENCE’s Yes, Girl! podcast, while chatting with hosts and editors Cori Murray, Charli Penn and Yolanda Sangweni.
“I’m happy in my personal life. Finally it has happened to me!,” the Maryland native said when questioned about her rumored relationship status.
Henson may not speak publicly about her love life, but the couple’s relationship is certainly nothing new. In December 2015 the couple was photographed holding hands on the beach by paparazzi and when the photos made their way to social media, Henson’s fans rejoiced.
While Henson is officially confirming that she and Hayden are dating, don’t expect the Oscar-nominated actress not to continue to keep the details of her private life under wraps. She told the hosts, that’s just not her style.
“It was all over The Shade Room anyway,” said Henson. “You know, I’m not the type to blast my personal business, but you know, I think that it’s important for people to know that I’m happy. I’m very very happy. I just am. We’ve been together for two years. And no one would really know that because I don’t blast my info like that but I’m very happy.”
