Netflix is apparently trying to tell all the stories. In addition to its hit series like Orange is the New Black, Dear White People, and GLOW, the streaming platform has released a slew of original films in recent years.
While we eagerly await Sanaa Lathan’s rom-com Nappily Ever After, Netflix just rolled out the fun new trailer for its upcoming flick, After Party.
The film stars Kyle Harvey as an up-and-coming rapper named Owen, who’s trying to get his big break. After a disastrous performance goes viral, Owen becomes an Internet meme and his dreams of breaking into the music business are threatened.
In addition to Harvey, After Party stars Teyana Taylor, Blair Underwood, Harrison Holzer, Shelley Hennig, Jordan Rock, Amin Joseph, and Andy Buckley.
The film also features a host of cameos from music’s biggest stars, including Young M.A., Pusha T, Wiz Khalifa, Desiigner, French Montana, and DJ Khaled.
After Party hits Netflix on August 24.
