Beyoncé is back with more gifts.
The Emmy-nominated singer announced an ABC documentary special that will give a behind-the-scenes look at her Africa-inspired album, The Lion King: The Gift, that dropped alongside her promotion of Disney’s live-action The Lion King this past summer.
She announced the news of the doc, titled Making the Gift, with a trailer of behind-the-scenes gems in an Instagram post on Sunday night. “ABC Network. 10 pm,” she simply wrote in her post, announcing it debuts on Monday.
Calling it “a love letter to Africa” in an interview with ABC News, the album, executive produced by Bey, features artists from across the continent like Tiwa Savage, WizKid, Burna Boy, Busiswa, Salatiel and Moonchild Sanelly.
“This soundtrack is a love letter to Africa and I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa, and not just use some of the sounds and did my interpretation of it. I wanted it to be authentic to what is beautiful about the music in Africa,” the singer says in the ABC News interview back in July.
Making The Gift will premiere tonight on ABC Mondy at 10 p.m. EST.
