R&B songstress and rapper Tink is back and bringing more of her authentic brand of Black Girl Magic to 2018 with a new visual for her single, ‘M.I.A.’
The fourth track on her latest project, Pain & Pleasure, released in late March, “M.I.A.” is easy summer listening that hears the 23-year-old songstress boast about jet-setting around the world with her man. The song’s chorus is a nod to Miami as a favorite vacation spot for Tink and her beau, while simultaneously a play on the acronym ‘M.I.A.’, which stands for “missing in action.”
The song’s music video perfectly illustrates the song, as we see Tink and actor Barton Fitzpatrick (aka Reggie from Showtime’s The Chi) enjoying each other’s company on Miami’s breathtaking beaches and reveling all of the simple and lavish pleasures that come with being a young, Black and wealthy couple in love. The pair is in their own world while seemingly on the run from the law, but still basking in the thought of being “M.I.A.” together, even if only for a weekend getaway.
