It was announced earlier this year that a Beaches remake was on the way starring Nia Long and Idina Menzel, and now a trailer is finally here.
With Menzel singing the iconic “Wind Beneath My Wings,” the trailer follows the lifelong friends through their ups and downs. Anyone familiar with the original will recognize key moments, but from the look of the trailer, Long and Menzel’s performances will definitely be as flawless as Bette Middler and Barbara Hershey’s.
If you’re not familiar with the film, Beaches follows two lifelong friends with different lifestyles as they forge paths for themselves. One lands her big break, while the other is left trying to figure it all out.
Beaches is a real tearjerker and we’re excited to see Nia and Idina make the roles their own.
