Viola Davis, Julius Tennon, and Lemuel Plummer have teamed up with TV One for an incredibly poignant new docu-series on police violence, Two Sides.
The series takes an in-depth look at officer-related killings, race, and the victims at the center of it all. Focusing on law enforcement and the Black community, the new docu-series takes a look at the cases around Ezell Ford, Sandra Bland, Eric Garner, and John Crawford, whose deaths were pivotal moments in the most recent movement for Black liberation.
In an exclusive clip for ESSENCE, Davis, Tennon, and Plummer talk about the importance of exploring these moments and shedding light on who the victims were. Davis and Tennon’s JuVee Productions and Plummer’s L. Plummer Media produced the series.
Two Sides will premiere Monday, Jan. 22 at 10 p.m. ET on TV One.
