Martin Lawrence and Will Smith are back for one more wild ride.
On Wednesday, Sony Pictures released the trailer for its latest installment in the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys for Life.
Lawrence and Smith hop right back into their roles as Detective Mike Lowrey (Smith) and Detective Marcus Burnett (Lawrence), but this time things are different.
Bad Boys for Life sees Lowery stuck in a midlife crisis and Burnett as a police inspector taking on a case from an Albanian mercenary, whose brother they killed, with the promise of an added bonus in his paycheck.
While it seems like the pair is only back for one last adventure, both Smith and Lawrence have another project, Bad Boys 4, listed on their IMDB page. So maybe this isn’t their last case after all.
In 2017, there was a brief moment when the fate of Bad Boys for Life was in limbo. Both Smith and Lawrence were both pretty busy; Lawrence even told reporters, “I don’t think we’re going to get one, not the way everything’s turning out. Will is off doing another movie, and I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
Fortunately, he later confirmed that schedules had finally lined up and Bad Boys was a go.
Thankfully the film will arrive in time to heat up our winters on January 17.
