Will Smith just made our day by confirming that there will in fact be a Bad Boys 3. It’s been 13 years since the last Bad Boys film—too long by Hollywood standards—and fans have been anxious ever since plans were announced last year for a third and fourth film.
Speaking with A.Dot for BBC Radio 1Xtra, Smith confirmed that he’d spoken with co-star Martin Lawrence, but didn’t go further about plot or the films tentative February 2017 release date.

“I saw Martin a few weeks ago, and I hadn’t seen him for about two years, and we just looked at each other, we hugged, and in that moment, we both knew we were making another ‘Bad Boys.’ So we’re definitely doing another one.”
Smith also talked about family, specifically son Jaden’s recent campaign for Louis Vuitton.
Will Smith Reacts to the Fate of His ‘Independence Day’ Character
“Jayden is one hundred percent fearless. He will do anything. As a parent it’s scary, it’s really terrifying, but he is completely willing to live and die by his own artistic decisions and he just doesn’t concern himself with what people think.”
And, despite the amount of freedom Willow and Jayden have, Smith insists that both have curfews. On weekends the Smith kids have to be home by 11:30 p.m.
