Welcome to #InMyFeed, ESSENCE’s daily digital show that offers you a cheat sheet of the hottest topics already on your timeline.
After this
rough weekend, we’re starting off the week with even more somber news.
New Orleans rapper Young Greatness, best known for his hit song, “Moolah,” was fatally shot in his hometown early Monday morning, according to reports. He was only 34. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, including his record label, Cash Money.
And in slightly better news — depending on how you look at it —
Kanye West is out with a new fashion line. But instead of dressing people in muted colors, Yeezy instead wants us to wear “Blexit” — it stands for Black Exit — in hopes that Black voters leave the Democratic party in favor of the Republican party.
Thankfully, our favorite celebrities have brought some levity to the week by
celebrating Halloween early. Check out who we think killed it in
Black Panther costumes, and
tweet us or
comment on Facebook by showing us how you dressed up over the weekend.
