The first season of HBO’s Euphoria came to an end Sunday night.
Fans are still reeling from the events of the series but ahead of Sunday’s finale, Zendaya, who plays the show’s starring character Rue, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram thanking the cast, crew, and everyone who tuned in.
“I have a lot to say, and I don’t know how to get it out, or even process these last 8 weeks but I’ll try. I’m so grateful for this show,” the actress wrote. “We spent months, hard months, pouring ourselves into something we love, and it was an honor to have done so beside so many insanely talented, extraordinary people…I’m thankful for a lot. And also for all of you out there for receiving our work with an open heart.”
Euphoria has already been renewed for a second season, with HBO adding that the series averages “5.5 million viewers per episode, including linear replays, delayed viewing and streaming.”
No announcement yet on when the second season will air, but we hope the wait isn’t too long.
