The first Monday is May is dedicated to one of the most spectacular fashion events in the world: The Met Gala.

Each year The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute throws the epic bash to celebrate the world of sartorial splendor. The theme of this year’s gala — “Camp: Notes on Fashion” — was destined to be one to remember. And when we say “Camp” we don’t mean Khaki shorts and canteens. Dressing “camp” translates to stepping out in over-the-top, playful, and/or extreme looks. Basically anything goes. It’s about rocking something so weird and mind-boggling that it transcends being tacky and becomes vogue.
