We all have that one perfect pair of jeans that makes us feel unstoppable, but what if you can really put your denim to work by standing up for an important cause?
In honor of Sexual Violence Awareness month, Peace Over Violence has used style to advocate for a cause with substance over the past 18 years.
Denim Day started as an answer to an Italian Supreme Court’s decision to rule in favor of a rapist citing the victim’s tight jeans as an implication of consent. and now it’s a worldwide phenomenon.
One of our favorite brands, GUESS Jeans, has teamed up with Peace Over Violence over the past 4 years to combat attitudes and ideologies that promote and allow sexual violence.
In line with its mission to end sexual, domestic and interpersonal violence, GUESS Foundation will host a live concert at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica with performances by Official Denim Day Spokescouple, Aloe Blacc and Maya Jupiter.
Stand in solidarity with people all over the world who’ve been victims of sexual violence by rocking your favorite denim today!
