Miami Swim Week took place this weekend where designers showcased their best swimwear for the season. While many trends like high-cuts and sleeves were reported this year, we couldn’t help but notice the swimwear brand Bfyne by Nigerian-American designer Buki Ade presented what many other brands lacked.
Although a large number of designers promoted body positivity, Bfyne dominated this swim week by casting a truly diverse model bunch. Ade sent models – all displaying different body types and nationalities – down the runway to catwalk in her viral colorful cutouts. Standout designs featured a royal blue off the shoulder one-piece and an all-red cutout accessorized with a body chain.
The swimwear brand has a large social media presence and is popular amongst celebrities like Alicia Keys and Tyra Banks. Not to mention, it’s the swimsuit you need this summer.
