Post-fashion week exhaustion for the New York girls is not close to being over, as insiders know fashion week is actually a fashion month. London Fashion Week stole the show with creativity and true diversity in models of different shapes, sizes, and races. Now we’re onto Milan Fashion Week, and so far, the energy is giving sexy as Milan is known for its sensual designs. As fashion month is currently underway, other industry news is circulating. Some good, some neutral-ish, but, nonetheless, it wouldn’t be fashion if it didn’t stir the pot in some way.
Take a look at all the fashion happenings of the past week.
A$AP Rocky For Gucci Guilty Campaign
Rapper, fashion boy, and Rihanna’s “friend who has the same baby” is one of the faces of Gucci’s fragrance, Gucci Guilty. As part of the ongoing partnership, he will be attending Gucci’s FW 23′ show in Milan, front row, of course. The fragrance is set to launch on March 1st and is an embodiment of “self-acceptance, friendship, and love in all its forms through a story of tenderness, imagination, and curiosity.”
Mugler To Design An H&M Collection
This news made fashion Twitter a bit…confused and distraught? High-low collections aren’t new concepts, however. The collection is set to be sold online in the spring of this year. There’s a method to this madness, apparently — H&M is looking to increase sales, and Mugler might be that ticket. We’re excited to see what comes about from this unforeseen collaboration.
Whitney Peak Is The New Coco Mademoiselle
Gossip Girl actress Whitney Peak is now the face of one of Chanel’s best-selling fragrances Coco Mademoiselle. The campaign rollout has embodied everything that a poised young Chanel ambassador would be. Peak is the first Black representative for a Chanel scent, a great feat even in 2023, where the first Black anything shouldn’t be a thing anymore.
Diesel And Durex Show Milan Fashion Week A Good Time
Models in the recent Diesel FW 23′ runway show were walking around a gargantuan mountain of condoms — 300,000 of them, to be exact. Diesel’s rebrand has since embraced fluidity and sensual desire. In April, when the collection is in stores, Durex condoms will also be given to store visitors for free. So you can go home with more than just goodies to wear.
