Swedish-Eritrean designer Selam Fessahaye presented her first ready-to-wear collection at the 2018 Stockholm Fashion Week. Starting off as a stylist Fessahaye has an eye for chic, modern and eloquent attire which is apparent by her designs.
One of the most groundbreaking moments of her career was after the release of her Fall 2019 collection, with Fessahaye being labeled as the country’s fashion miracle. Fessahaye’s designs are hard to miss with over-sized statement pieces that cross gender lines. She is among the “third culture kids” (children raised in a culture different than both of their parents) which has a huge impact on her artistry and contributes greatly to Sweden’s culture scene.
