It’s Day seven and still going strong! The beauty of fashion is trying new things and that was my mission today. I chose a long vintage 80’s tunic, black tank and shiny leggings. I accessorized with a blue mens hat, silver necklace, stacked bangles and cutout booties from Guess. This is definitely a new look for me, since I don’t wear so much black. I think I pulled it off quite nicely by adding some color with my accessories! I love that I mixed fitted and loose pieces. With fashion being so visual, it is important to maintain the right balance when building your look. Overall, this was a fun look with a bit of hidden sex appeal!
I started the morning bright an early at Norma Kamali’s awesome 3D presentation. Upon arrival, I was given 3D glasses with a cat eye design, how fab! Just my style! The 1950s inspired presentation played on the screen above with a bexy of dancing models! I loved the black sequin gowns, fringe pants and neon pieces! They all came together seamlessly. Norma stood just a few feet away from me as she did interviews and greeted guests. I have always loved her designs! And can’t wait to buy her new collection. She is a true genius. Next up was Jeremy Scott, another favorite. This season Jeremy literally wowed the crowd with his rodeo inspired theme. I enjoyed the creative cactus prints, the bodycon dresses and high waist denim skirts! There were also chaps n’ thongs for both guys and girls, which, of course, the crowd went crazy for! Gotta love Jeremy for his never ending wow factor. After the show he always cascades down the runway, so fierce! My last event was a presentation for my friend, Ugo Mozie’s collection: Aston Mozie. Held at the William Bennett Gallery, the collection featured vibrant blazers with leather lapels. I am a huge fan of blazers so those caught my eye immediately. Congrats on another season well done! I can’t wait to bring you all that tomorrow has to offer. Until then!Joy Adaeze is the style blogger and fashionista behind joylovesfashion.com.
