Last month during ESSENCE Festival 2019, we launched our inaugural ESSENCE Fashion House–a luxe experience highlighting all things Black style. If you weren’t able to attend the three-day extravaganza at Gallier Hall in New Orleans, don’t fret, because we’re bringing Fashion House to New York City. On September 5, we will host a series of panel discussions and runway presentations, including a reimagined take on the beloved Texture on the Runway hair show.
This summer’s event featured notables like Iman, Joan Smalls, Indya Moore and Lena Waithe, with opportunities to network with ESSENCE staffers including Fashion Director Marielle Bobo. For the New York City leg, we’ve got some epic surprises in store. Before the official start of Fashion Week (September 6), ESSENCE will kick off the festivities with a cutting-edge curation of fashion activations highlighting Black creatives across the globe.
