June Ambrose loves the kids!
The fashion maven recently announced that she is joining forces with Disney and Target for a fashion and fund raising initiative that plays off the themes of rebellion in upcoming film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Ambrose along with nine other influential names across film, music, fashion and sports have joined forces to support UNICEF Kid Power by creating a line of “Force 4 Fashion” T-shirts.
When it comes to why Ambrose decided to get involved with the initiative the fashion maven said it was all about using her platform for good.
“I am fearless when it comes to taking a stand and using my platform to start or join a movement that’s for the greater good,” she said. “Following your gut sometimes requires you going ahead of the storm and standing your ground as it passes. In my styling and costume-designing career, I was forced to create images that would push a culture and community forward. I did it fearlessly with no regrets!
Disney’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story tells the story of ordinary people doing extraordinary things, something that Ambrose says she can especially relate to as a mother.
“The message is so inline with how passionate I am about protecting our children! Moms can be Rogue ones and quite a force when it comes to our kids.”
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters Dec. 16 and beginning Nov. 27 you can snag a t-shirt of your own for $12.99 exclusively in Target stores and on target.com with proceeds going to UNICEF.
