Nike recently relaunched a ‘90s campaign that featured basketball legend Michael Jordan and acclaimed director Spike Lee back in the day —and it stars one of our favorite Hollywood talents, Lena Waithe!
Waithe, who became the first Black woman to win an Emmy Award for Oustanding Comedy Writing for Master of None, stars in the new “Shoe Therapy” campaign as Dr. Dana Sole, who’s a “shoe therapist.” Waithe gives advice to various “shoe addicts” who include NBA star Draymond Green, track and field athlete Deajah Stevens and more.
The hilarious commercial also nods to today’s sneakerhead culture, and how obsessed one can become with getting their hands on the latest style or coveting their favorite pairs (Ahem, we’re looking at Jacob Latimore’s character Emmett on Waithe’s hit new TV show, The Chi!)
