It’s pretty hard not to like Lil Nas X. From his hilarious social media post to his long-running number one hit, “Old Town Road,” he manages to put a smile on everyone’s face. And now after successfully spending 19 weeks at number one (and counting) the viral meme master graced the cover of Time Magazine. “Everything lined up for this moment to take me to this place,” Lil Nas X told Time. “Not to sound self-centered, but it feels like I’m chosen, in a way, to do this stuff.”
Of course, his western-style was beaming through the cover which comes to no surprise due to his newfound fame being spearheaded by cowboy-inspired fits. And his low-key stylist Hodo Musa has managed to source unique pieces that only broaden his fun aesthetic.
Sporting a cropped monochromatic custom PHLEMUNS red suit, the 20-year-old rapper stood solo on the Time’s cover with a fluorescent background. Musa accessorized his outfit with a custom Gladys Tamez Millinery hat, Pskaufman shoes, and jewelry by Amanitomi and Armature.
