Friday night of Essence Festival concluded with Missy Elliott closing out the New Orleans’ Superdome to a jam-packed house.
Other than Elliott being a musical genius, her fashion is equally as legendary. Friday night was no different as the recent Songwriter’s Hall of Fame inductee changed into three custom outfits for her performance on the Superdome’s mainstage.
Elliott started her set in an all-black outfit with metal plates on her shoulders that resembled a knight. Her male dancers coordinated with her by rocking the full knight get-up.
Quickly after, the producer, who performed her hits including “Lose Control” and “Work It,” changed into a custom motocross outfit that read “MISSY” across her legs and an iced-out chain with diamonds spelling out “icon.”
She also wore a Versace “dad hat” to compliment the look, but midway into her performance with this particular outfit, she changed into a bright pink cowboy hat.
Concluding her set, she came out in a shimmery polka dot custom Adidas fit with sparkling shoes to match.
Needless to say, Elliot did not disappoint with her looks last night.
You can still join in on the fun at the Superdome main stage, grab your tickets for tonight and Sunday shows here.
