All Hail Queen @FLOTUS: It’s not often I get the opportunity to be interviewed about one of my she-ros; but the chance finally came this week when I was asked to weigh in on the power of First Lady Michelle Obama in advance of her mic-dropping DNC Speech Monday night in Philadelphia. Black Votes Matter: As the presidential election season kicks into high gear, I plan to do everything I can to make sure Black women’s voices and issues are heard and seen, because our vote is our voice. I shared that message on a #BlackTwitter panel, #ElectionVoices, held during the DNC. The conversation that was live-streamed on Perisocpe featured a super-smart panel of political writers and editors I love to follow—and so should you.   I’m With #HerConference: Being able to share my advice and life lessons makes the role I serve as EIC so much sweeter. This week I spoke before 300 college women offering tips for success.
