Let’s face it, chinos (aka khakis) aren’t for everyone. The business casual staples are often tailored for longer, leaner men — while guys on the brawnier side are left with ill-fitting (read: tight) pants and perhaps some hurt feelings.
Those are just a few of the reasons that Club Monaco decided to create a roomier version called The Bennett Chino and tap Houston Texans football star DeAndre Hopkins to front the reveal.
The NFL wide reciever joins a long list of professional athletes that are quickly becoming style stars and aligning themselves with top fashion brands. So this collaboration with Club Monco is no surprise and makes sense for Hopkins since his atheltic build and bulkier legs represent the target body type for the company’s new-and-improved khaki design.
And while the trousers may be roomier, that doesn’t mean they lack refinement. Muscle bound men shouldn’t have to scarfice their personal style for a good work out, or vice versa — and these pants are proof.
