“Martin Grant designs classic clothing with a modern twist. His creations are so chic and have that feeling of old hollywood glamour,” said Golding about the dress she wore at The Hunger Games: Catching Fire New York premiere. “His clothes fit me impeccably and he was one of the first designers I met in Paris. His warm spirit and attention to detail made me fall madly in love. I wanted to wear something that was simple yet elegant. A girl can never go wrong in a little black dress.”
“His couture designs are both elegant and dramatic! I visited his showroom in Paris back in September and tried on a number of amazing couture pieces and I was thrilled and honored to just try on these works of art,” shared Golding. “It was at that moment I knew that I wanted to wear GEORGES HOBEIKA at home to the LA Premiere. The architectural neckline, the long sleeves, the embellished mid-section and the slit I thought would be both fierce and sexy and also unusual. I thought it would give just the right amount of drama for the fans.”
“First of all, the fit of Juan Vidal is perfect for me. Every design fit me without a single alteration so it was almost impossible to choose, but this white two-piece and floral print was sexy, daring and extremely elegant,” Golding told us. “As the saying goes when in Rome… Architecturally, Rome is a very dramatic city and this dress was architectural and the flowers made it very feminine. It was definitely love after the first fit and I thought the fans needed to be more familiar with the designs of Juan Vidal because I think he’s a genius.”
“Loved that it was leather and the delicate craftsmanship. The mixture of the classic silhouette of a little black dress embossed with flowers and laser cut leather and the sheer back was a must! Loewe is such a fantastic Spanish brand and I wanted to feel at home in Madrid,” the actress explained. “I also felt leather gave enough edge to represent my character “Enobaria” in the film. I think JW Anderson is bringing such innovation to the Loewe runway and I was ecstatic to share it with the fans of the movie.”
“It was completely original, beautiful and one of a kind with a traditional shape yet completely modern,” said Golding about her Manish Arora digital print dress. “I attended the Manish Arora S/S 2014 runway show in Paris and was totally blown away by his artistic designs. I thought it was perfect for the Victory Launch because it would give the fans that extravagance they would expect from the film. Manish is so brilliant when it comes to blending colors and fabrics and I have become one of his biggest fans!”
