Designer collaborations have become more and more common over recent years, and Reebok is the latest brand to tap influential designers for upcoming collections. Yesterday, the athletic brand announced they are teaming up with Kerby Jean-Raymond, the founder and designer of Pyer Moss.
Jean-Raymond will design two separate lines for Reebok Classic that will reimagine athletic sportswear for both men and women. The ready-to-wear collection will debut in February at New York Fashion Week, and the full collection will launch in August 2018.
In a statement from the brand, Jean-Raymond said, “All it took was one conversation to know that Reebok was the right home for our team. We are really excited for everything we have coming up.”
Jean-Raymond has become known for creating collections for Pyer Moss that provoke thought and relate to current social commentary. Recently, Jean-Raymond made headlines for the custom “Even More Names” t-shirt he exclusively designed for Colin Kaepernick for his GQ cover.
