Serena Williams just made a triumphant return back to the tennis court after winning her first Grand Slam match since giving birth to her daughter at the French Open yesterday. Now the athlete and tennis champion has another reason to celebrate: she’s launching her debut fashion collection, Serena, today!
While Williams has previously done collaborations with HSN and Nike, this is the very first proprietary fashion line from the athlete. The collection, which is dropping with a 12-piece curated capsule, features apparel ranging from comfortable and chic (like crop tops and joggers) to sexy (like a slip dress).
“I absolutely love this collection because it represents all the facets of my life as an athlete, an entrepreneur, and now, a mother,” said Williams in a press release. “We’re all on a journey that delights us with highs and challenges us with twists and turns, which shapes us into who we are and who we want to become. I’ve learned to embrace and celebrate this process of individual growth and dedicate this collection to all women who want to join me in showing the world our true selves.”
Williams hopes to empower women to express their creativity and individuality through her new fashion collection. After the initial limited edition capsule, more trendy and affordable pieces from the 75-piece collection will drop this summer and fall.
The Serena collection retails from $35 to $250, and is available now at serenawilliams.com.
