Designer Shayne Oliver is teaming up with another brand to design a collection! Today, Diesel announced that they have tapped Oliver to design a capsule collection for the brand’s new The Red Tag Project.
The project is a new three-part collaborative series that Diesel is launching with various designers to create collections focused on the brand’s denim and sportswear heritage. Oliver, who is the founder of Hood by Air, is the first designer that Diesel has chosen to design a capsule.
In a press release, Oliver said, “I love denim’s heritage and its American roots, as well as Diesel’s Italian core. This capsule is really the language of Renzo [Rosso], the brand founder. Refined razor sharp denim aesthetics that devours the excesses of trendiness.”
This isn’t Oliver’s first collaboration with a major fashion label. Last year, he partnered with Helmut Lang to design a special collection for the label for spring/summer 2018.
Oliver’s capsule for Diesel will be previewed at a special event on March 3 during Paris Fashion Week.
