On Friday, we got a chance to sit with style icon and cool girl Solange after the release of her new album, A Seat at the Table, but on Sunday night, she blessed us once again with the release of two music videos for “Don’t Touch My Hair” and “Cranes in the Sky.”
The videos, which were co-directed by Solange and her music director husband Alan Ferguson, highlight the singer’s amazing vocal abilities, but also show off her undeniable style chops.

While the main attraction of “Don’t Touch My Hair” was Solange’s hair (finger waves, voluminous body curls, and beaded cornrows to name a few), her fashion picks were reminiscent of practically any fall 2016 collection.
She nailed athleisure with a nude crop top and track pants, she slayed in slip dresses in gold and white and she gave us body (and workout goals!) in a white cutout one piece swimsuit.
We also now want a matching skirt for our puffer coat, which only Solange could make look so effortless.
In “Cranes in the Sky,” Solange reminds us that we are not worthy of her slayage! She rocks countless outfits in practically every color in the rainbow, and she stuns in every frame of the video.
From the barely dressed (a nude bodysuit, gold body paint!) to the dressed up (one shoulder dresses in shades of pink and purple and metallic numbers) to the absolutely epic (two words: YARN DRESS!), Solange outdid herself.
The singer actually gave us a preview of the yarn dress she created herself on Instagram a few weeks ago. Lastly, we couldn’t get enough of oversized pink coat that opened the video or the draped dress masterpiece that was made for you and your entire squad.
Now excuse us while we watch both of these videos again, and consider replacing our entire wardrobes!
