Yesterday, the world along with
Black Twitter rejoiced when we learned that Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle are engaged to become husband and wife! After the engagement announcement, Prince Harry and Markle posed for their first photos as an engaged couple outside of Kensington Palace.
For the photos, Markle wore a white belted wrap coat from Canadian brand, Line the Label. Within minutes of the coat being identified, the Canadian fashion label’s site crashed and although it will be restocked, the coat is now sold out. The company is also renaming the coat the “Meghan.” You can simply call it the “Meghan effect.”
Since Markle first begin dating Prince Harry, the fashion world and fans have taken notice to her style, and now that the
Suits actress will soon become royalty, her fashion choices will certainly inspire and influence many. After Markle’s future sister-in-law Kate Middleton married Prince William, she also quickly became a fashion icon and various designers have sold out of designs that Princess Kate has worn.
Markle has already been noticed for her sophisticated style, which primarily features clean lines and polished details, and last fall, she even partnered with Canadian women’s apparel retailer Reitmans for a fashion collection. Her style is also regularly documented on the fan fashion blog,
Meghan’s Mirror.
Considering Markle’s best friend is also a stylist, we’re extra excited about the upcoming stylish looks we can expect from the soon-to-be-royal and the designers she’ll choose to wear (and introduce to us like Line the Label!) However like everyone else, we’re most excited for one look: Markle’s upcoming wedding gown.
