Together Khan, Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert, Monifah Carter, Syleena Johnson and KeKe Wyatt will perform a special tribute to R&B artists who passed away over the last year. The closing ensemble is the final addition to the Festival, which is just a week away.
In related Festival news, Iyanla Vanzant is added to the ESSENCE Music Festival Empowerment Experience, while Roshon Fegan will join the New & Next Stage on Thursday, July 5.
The lineup for the main stage will include performances by Mary J. Blige, D’Angelo, Trey Songz, Mary Mary, Fantasia, Ledisi and more. Steve Harvey will also take the stage on Sunday for a special tribute to the Queen of Soul.
