New York native and infamous Hip-Hop DJ, Funkmaster Flex will be live on the 1s and 2s at this year’s ESSENCE DJ Day Party Series in New Orleans during ESSENCE Fest and we couldn’t be more excited to have him.
The Hot 97 DJ and radio personality rose through the DJ ranks in the ’90s and has since become a Hip-Hop mainstay, well known for his signature bomb-drop sound effects. He transitioned to television in the 2000’s with the debut of his first television series, Ride with Funkmaster Flex which aired on Spike. Funkmaster Flex has since had several shows aired on networks such as ESPN and MTV and has also released several major label albums.
This year, he will make his very first appearance at ESSENCE Fest as a featured celebrity DJ for our Day Party Series.
