Sommore is the newest comedian added to our entertaining 2015 ESSENCE Festival lineup. Since the early 90s, the Trenton, New Jersey native has served the comedy world her fierce and fearless perspective on what life is like to be a black woman. As the first female to ever host “Comic View,” she’s earned a tough skin and a will to make her audience laugh harder than they’ve ever laughed before. Get ready!

Actress and comedienne Luenell has been making us laugh since 1993. Her raw and unexpected comedy have kept audiences on the edge of their seats since she appeared in “Katt Williams’ American Hustle.” Now, we have watched her successfully straddle the mainstream arena and black film as one of the funniest on screen personas of this generation. In July, we’ll all be able to see her perform a little stand-up live. Be prepared for anything.

At this point, Kevin Hart is a bonafide comedic superstar. Though many of our mainstream cohorts believe Hart’s success was overnight, we have watched the Philadelphia native work his way from “Soul Plane” to a box office mainstay. We are proud and inspired by his hard work and more than ready to laugh with him in NOLA.
